The story behind Hanmer Holiday Homes
In 2002, while living in Nelson, Jason and Karryn Fletcher (the current owners of Hanmer Holiday Homes) decided to take a holiday to Hanmer Springs with their four children. By the end of that fun filled weekend holiday they had fallen in love with the village and purchased their first holiday home. . . and that is where it all began.
18 months later, the managers of Hanmer Holiday Homes at the time, decided to sell the business. This presented an opportunity Jason and Karryn had to investigate.
With the vast sales, entertainment, and hotel management experience Jason and Karryn both shared, they took on the new venture as the owners of this thriving business. It started out with 63 homes to rent, a small office, a team of 3 staff and a large book that all the bookings were pencilled into (there were certainly no computers, emails, or Eftpos in use in those days). These days it is a much larger scale, professional business, employing over 20 local staff, with over 180 homes.
